Something different - A lightweight spinning rod 7'0"

While it is true that our passion is fly rods that doesn't preclude us from building other rods for our customers, we have built spinning rods and even heavy duty boat fishing rods for our clients in the past - all with the same attention to detail that makes a Gouldfish rod a unique pleasure to own.

Our customer came to us in search of a gift for his grandfather, a Russian war veteran keen on spin fishing for perch, pike and the like. The result was a split handle rod where we hand weaved a patriotic St George ribbon between the handles - and kept this motif throughout the rod. As the Russians say "Spasibo dedu za pobedu" - "thank you grandfather for victory". I think it is a really great gift and hope that it brings many fish!
